Yes I can lie and lie and stupid Americans believe it.
On Super Bowl Sunday three years ago, just 10 days after taking office, President Obama said that if he wasn’t able to get the economy shaped up in three years his presidency would be a “one-term proposition.”
In an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer before today’s game, Obama made the case that he still has plenty of work to do but the economy is now on the right track.
“I deserve a second term, but we’re not done,” Obama told Lauer. “When you and I sat down, we were losing 750,000 jobs a month. … Now we’re creating 250,000. We’ve created 3.7 million jobs in the last 23 months. We’ve created the most jobs since 2005, the most manufacturing jobs since 1990, but we’re not finished.”
Obama also touched on growing speculation that Israel is preparing to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran to thwart its suspected nuclear weapons program.
“I don’t think that Israel has made a decision on what they need to do,” Obama said. ” They, like us, believe that Iran needs to stand down on its nuclear weapons program.”
Obama said he believes that Iran is feeling the pinch from international sanctions, but he says Tehran hasn’t taken the “diplomatic steps” to assure the international community that it is willing to abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Obama would not comment on whether Israeli officials have assured the White House that they would forewarn administration officials if they were to decide to carry out a strike against Iran.
When Obama sat down with Lauer in 2009 before Super Bowl XLIII, he correctly picked the Pittsburgh Steelers over the Arizona Cardinals. He wasn’t hazarding a prediction for tonight’s match-up between the New England Patriots and New York Giants.
“I can’t call it,” Obama said. “I think this is going to be one of those where it comes down to a turnover or some ball [off] somebody’s helmet. I think this is going to be a tough game.”
Yes I can lie America as I am a Muslim and have the right to lie.
I am the Liar in Chief.
